The phased refurbishment of an important 1938 grade II listed art-deco theatre in Liverpool. Phase I included the remodelling of the auditorium with refurbished seating at circle and balcony levels and new cabaret-style booths to the stalls for dining. Phase II consisted of the renovation of key public foyers and front-of-house staircases; new bar and WC facilities; remodelled back-of-house areas with modern technical equipment; and a new ground floor public box office extension in weathered steel.

Project teams were small and I was directly involved with all facets of design and execution over a number of years (RIBA C-K ≈ LPH3-LPH8), from the initial concept design and planning application, through to the detailed design, production of tender information and monitoring of construction on-site.
